Pilates reformer sessions have been scientifically proven to increase stamina, build strength, realign the body, reduce pain and inflammation, lengthen the body, and more. Georgetown Pilates is the only studio in the Washington DC area to exclusively focus on individual or duet sessions.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Creative in its methodology while maintaining the integrity and the purity of the Joseph Pilates method, Georgetown Pilates approaches movement as preventative medicine to avoid injury, rehabilitate the body, and to enhance and prolong body strength, stamina and mobility. Many students come to us after working in group fitness settings to re-educate and help heal imbalances in the body. At Georgetown Pilates, we start by building a strong foundation and creating awareness of movement within your individual body to rehab and/or prevent injury. Focused on the goal of creating symmetry of body and mind, every new client is given an assessment and movement trial on the Pilates reformer by owner, Heather Perry. Once a client has been read and accessed, a unique plan custom built for the individual is put into place to address specific health goals of the client as well as correct any imbalances in the body to improve overall motor functions.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>"Pilates is my passion and sharing the precision and genius of the work is my life.” Georgetown Pilates is owned, operated and founded by former principal dancer of The Washington Ballet, Heather Perry. As a disciple of the Romana Kryzanowska Pilates lineage, she studied under world renowned master teachers including Bob Leikens, Susan Moran-Perich, Karen Garcia, and Peter Fiasca. With a sincere commitment to translate her learnings as both a dancer operating at the highest professional level, and also as a dancer battling injury and muscular imbalances, Heather opened the studio in 2009. Heather received her comprehensive certification through Power Pilates in 2004 and Georgetown Pilates became a Power Pilates Host Studio for teacher training in 2010. Instructors at Georgetown Pilates honor the purity of Joseph Pilates method to realign body imbalances resulting in a calmer and pain free state across body and mind. Heather specializes in supporting practitioners of special populations including: Pre/Post Natal Hip, Shoulder, Knee Replacements Spinal Injuries (i.e. herniated and bulging discs, spinal fusions, stenosis, arthritis, neck pain) Rheumatoid Arthritis Multiple Sclerosis Cerebral Palsy Training for Professional and Amateur Athletes Plantar Fasciitis</image:caption>

A former professional dancer with a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Tulane University, Ekaterina brings a deep understanding of movement to every session. Her teaching is precise, detail-oriented, and rooted in the classical method.
